Trelegy ellipta is a combination of fluticasone, umeclidinium, and vilanterol that help manage Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis/asthma symptoms. This is classified as a long acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA). These medications work better in combination than either would alone. Their combined effect is to reduce and prevent inflammation and help you breathe easier by relaxing the muscles of the airways. This is not meant to resolve sudden asthma symptoms or breathing problems as the medication does not react quickly enough.
