What is Xopenex HFA Inhaler used for?
Xopenex HFA (Levalbuterol) is prescribed to manage and prevent breathing problems such as wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath experienced by patients with asthma and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This makes breathing easier by relaxing the muscles of the airways. This opens them up and helps with airflow. Breathing problems and affect day to day activities such as work, school, socializing and exercise. This is used for adults and children 4 years of age and older. Young children may be particularly sensitive to the side effects. Use this as directed by your doctor for best results. Do not share Xopenex HFA with friends and family with similar symptoms as this treatment may not be effective and can have adverse effects.
