What is Rilutek used for?
Rilutek is used to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which is a type of nerve disease. It is often called Lou Gehrig's disease. Riluzole helps to slow the progression of ALS and prolong survival. It does not cure or reverse the disease. It is understood that this helps protect the nerves of the spinal cord and brain from a substance that may cause the damage.

How to use Rilutek?

This is taken orally without food two times each day unless instructed otherwise by your doctor. You should take this on an empty stomach, either an hour before or 2 hours after meals. Do not take this more often than prescribed you may be more likely to experience side effects.
