    What is Genvoya?

Genvoya is prescribed to treat HIV infections. It helps to reduce the viral load which improves the efficacy of your immune system. This also decreases the likelihood of experiencing complications of HIV including cancer or new infections (such as flu or throat infections).
This will not cure your condition or prevent you from spreading the virus to others. You should still follow all appropriate measures to avoid spreading HIV.

    Genvoya Information

    Genvoya Dosage

Genvoya is taken orally with food as often as recommended by your doctor. Do not stop taking Genvoya unless directed by your doctor. You should try to keep a supply on hand to avoid running out. Stopping treatment early, or missing doses, can make HIV treatments more difficult in the future.

    How Genvoya Works

Genvoya is a combination of Cobicistat, emtricitabine( an integrase inhibitor) and tenofovir alafenamide. These medications work better to manage HIV symptoms together than either would alone.  It is safe to use in pediatric patients that are 12 years of age or older.
